The Spanish sculptor duo Coderch & Malavia—Joan Coderch and Javier Malavia—combine their distinct sensibilities to create powerful representations of the human form. Their collaborative process begins with live models, using the Platonic principles of "Truth, Goodness, and Beauty" to shape each piece. By working hands-on together, they infuse their sculptures with a deep sense of unity and purpose, elevating the human body to a level of poetic expression.
Inspired by masters like Maillol, Rodin, and Bourdelle, their work explores a wide range of human emotions and attitudes, blending beauty with discipline. Cast in bronze and welded for durability, their sculptures capture the complexity and emotional depth of the human experience, reflecting both technical mastery and profound sincerity.
