In less than two days, a poster that painter Ole Aakjær put up for sale has brought in more than DKK 3.5 million. This money will go entirely to UNICEF's humanitarian work for Ukrainian children. Sales explode in just a few hours. Although the sale of the poster was already going very well, it almost exploded when the story reached the news on TV SYD and TV2.
The poster is a print of an original work that Ole Aakjær created last year. It is called "Whalesong" and shows a swarm of whales swimming around a woman’s head.
